Much better for making a terrestrial antenna.

These items are very well made. I have a pair to make a grounded antenna using solder copper rods. The good thing about them is that you can solder the vertical to the cup instead of soldering the vertical to the pin of a regular 239 flange mount. Works like a champ. If you want to build a terrestrial antenna, buy a pair of these!
