First of all, this slide is not as dark as the description suggests. Second, this is actually a good thing (for me) as my bedroom cinema is now dark enough to use my 84-inch projector screen without additional glare from the sun. When she woke up the next morning (after installation) she asked me, "What time is it? why am i so late I answered. "It's only 11 o'clock 🤔." It wasn't until a few hours later, wandering around the apartment, that she finally noticed that I had "tinted" the windows in my bedroom. "She actually thinks it's too dark. But for my Batcave it's perfect 😎👌 Honestly. If it's a bit darker you can also get a blackout foil (which I didn't want). With this foil I can still see what's going on outside my window with added privacy during the day. It has also proven to be the perfect dimming solution to see my HD projector display during the day. To get a better idea of what it looks like. I'd say it feels like a dark storm is brewing. Although sunny outside, it always seems cloudy inside. It's definitely enough to make your senses believe the day is much later than it actually is.) The Dawn seems like an early sunset; sunrise will feel more like a sunset, for me it's not only perfect for watching movies but also for studying for hours without being distracted from the desire to become to play in the sun. A spray bottle with a few drops of washing-up liquid is sufficient for the film to adhere. 2) Make sure you clean and sanitize your windows before applying the film. 3) Since I didn't have a mop, I used a dustpan (which had a rubber insert). Some people say a credit card works, but I think something more like a squeegee will definitely make your life easier and help you smooth out the bubbles all at once. 3) I used a "scraper" with a razor blade to clean the window and used the same razor to trim off the excess film after application. 4) When trimming off the excess, leave about 2-3mm excess; The window film shrinks a bit after about a day. So if you cut too "perfectly" there may be a small gap between the window film and the edge of the window. In all honesty, the most important part of installing the film is to REALLY clean the window. Take the time to clean the window frame as well, as ANY remaining dirt can get between the film and the window and cause blisters. However, I applied the film as follows: 1) Measure and cut the film to fit the window. (I wasn't too concerned about the excess.) 2) Scraped every inch of the window with a razor blade scraper 3) Washed the window and trimmed it with a mild soapy solution (with dish soap), sprayed the window with a mild soapy solution.6) Scraper7 ) Window sprayed again with soapy water.8) Foil stuck in place.9) Foil (on window) sprayed with soapy water.10) Washed with mop to remove bubbles.11) Trimmed off excess with a razor blade. also put an old towel on the bottom of the window to catch all the excess water. that's it! for the price i am very satisfied. although I would give this one 4.5 stars for the misleading darker shade. As shown in the description I give it a 5 as it did a great job. Any darker is likely to cause clinical depression (for me). However, if you think you need something darker. You can always try doubling (by overlaying it) or try a "blackout" movie. I hope this helps you with your purchase decision. Peace and Love 😎✌️
