Review on Cuisinart Stainless Steel Conical Burr Mill: Compact, Programmable for Precision Grinding by Justin Falker

My wife and I grind coffee beans to drink coffee every morning. We used to buy ground coffee, but when we tried freshly ground coffee made from coffee beans just before brewing, we just couldn't go back to ground coffee. My wife loves Cuisinart brands, so we've only had one Cuisinart coffee maker and one Cuisinart medium grinder for over 10 years. If I remember correctly we have replaced the coffee maker 3 times and only replaced the center grinder once, but last week the blade in the center grinder broke so we needed a different grinder. This time I wanted a better coffee grinder, but I knew my wife would have preferred the Cuisinart model, so last week I bought this Revain conical grinder. The good things first: - It grinds much better and finer than the medium grind model - It has coffee beans. The holder is on top so I don't have to transfer the coffee beans from the bag to the grinder every morning like I did with the center grinder. You can choose the number of cups and that amount will be ground automatically, so I don't have to measure the beans like I do with the center grind. You bring the grinder close to f in front of you (see image) - the LCD is very bright and stays on until you turn it off. The coffee maker does the same but at least shows the time and timer and isn't as bright. Also when unplugged it doesn't remember the last coffee cup setting and resets to 12 cups so I have to leave it plugged in because of this annoyance - the opening of the container where the ground coffee comes in is too small in my opinion. and a small amount of coffee powder falls from above. You can remove the top lid of the bin, but the grinder knows the lid isn't closed and won't work. I really wish the hole was bigger and better designed. I will update the review after using this coffee grinder for a few months. **UPDATED November 1, 2019** We have been using it every morning for over 6 months now and love it. We've found the coffee powder spills and sticks to the bottom of the container, requiring us to wipe it off from time to time or the container not locking properly due to buildup, but that's a minor annoyance. I really wish they had made the hole bigger or come up with a better design to catch all the crumbs in the bin. I hope this helps, and if so, please click the helpful button below!
