Update 2/8/16: I've been using my "hooks" for almost two months now. I still like her very much; However, there are a few things that caught my eye that I would like to add to my review. First, I experienced intermittent static in my ears when disconnecting my devices (iPad Air2, iPhone 6s, Macbook Pro) with the ear hooks on. Hooks are not easy to put on and take off. So if I need to disconnect my device for a moment, I sometimes leave the headphones on and disconnect from the device by putting the end of the cable in my pocket. The discharge seems to happen when the atmosphere is static and the bare metal connector touches something with a charge (like my sweater or my husband). Kerpovi! Now I'm more careful about unplugging and making sure the plug is tucked away safely while I walk around. Secondly, at a moderate volume, the sound of the headphones is well perceived by others. This is because the headphones don't actually fit *in* the ear canal, instead sitting on the outside and allowing some noise to escape. For me this is not a determining factor but it was a little unexpected as I thought I was being mean to everyone but my husband could hear everything I heard. ;) Despite these limitations, I still think these little guys under 10 Samoleans are good value for money. I really like the sound, they are very comfortable and they are the only cheap headphones I have that don't fall out. Original review: Oh my god, I finally found it: cheap headphones that sound decent and, most importantly, don't fall out of your ears! Wow. i have them now And I absolutely love her. My ears. I do not know. strange ears. baby ears. Apparently not normal adult human ears. Because I have NEVER found earplugs/plugs that don't just fall out of my ears or hurt. The in-ear headphones hurt me. Insoles of even the smallest size are painful. I also tried the over-ear form factor several times without success. The speaker was always oriented in such a way that I couldn't hear the sound well. This has been my experience: brief bouts of hopeful experimentation, followed by long periods of disappointment and resignation. Every once in a while I get sad and try a new set of headphones just to make sure they aren't completely awful for me. I thought these Philips headphones would disappoint like everyone else. (Do I sound bitter? Damn, I'm right.) I was afraid of being too reassuring at this price point. However, I am pleased to report that my very low expectations were fortunately blown up. ON THE BITE. These Philips phones with ear hooks are sooooo comfortable. And I can turn my head and they won't fall out! Heck, they don't even move. Hooray! Because the speaker is well-aligned to my tiny ear canals, I can hear music really well. Even the bass lines sound damn good. Certainly surprisingly good for this price. The only minor thing is that I wish there was a volume control on the cable. But I'm still very happy with them. If you also suffer from weird ears I would suggest you give it a try. Much luck!
