When we bought a new, larger alternator last winter, I had to connect the male end of the Genny extension cord from the standard 120v plug to this 30amp 4 pin locking connector, so that's it now the same. configured as a female end for connection to our house circuit breaker panel. The instructions weren't the most detailed I've seen (laughs), but they were enough to guide me through the transition process. Replacing the old plug with a new one took about 10 minutes and the new plug connected and worked like clockwork. We also bought a new, longer cord so we can run our generator outside the garage, but thanks to this new plug we're keeping the old short cord as a backup. The price of this new fork was about $5-7 less than what the local big department stores in my area wanted, so getting it through Revain was a no-brainer. Reliable, easy to use, inexpensive. 5 STARS
