I've been racking my brains on how to rate this formula. This completely cured my daughter of reflux but she ended up with insane constipation. Now she is 8 months old and this is my second try. I added an additional 30ml of water per bottle (if she was eating a 4 ounce bottle, I'd have 5 ounces of water) to make sure she was staying hydrated. We ended up having to make some suppositories and physically help her defecate with the golf ball sized hard stool the first time. We changed the formulas and she was still constipated, but it wasn't anywhere near the same as with this mix. Our pediatrician recommended that she use a stool softener once a day to soften her stools. After adding the stool softener, we reverted to this formula. Our daughter is thriving. She seems to stay fuller longer, has much less gas, and has daily bowel movements (she still takes her daily stool softener)! I'm rating this a 4 because it was HEARTFUL to see my baby fighting BM to the point where we both burst into tears by week 3 and I have never felt so helpless. We are now gradually phasing out the stool softener. I will update again in a few weeks to let you know if my daughter's body or the formula is causing her severe constipation.
