This worked once plugged in but wish there was an on/off switch. As soon as you turn on the bell it starts making noise and can be scary when it's on. Adjusting the volume was a little tricky because the buttons on the right were so close together. There are many different tones, although some were a bit distracting. I also wish it had an option to turn off the "bell" and only use the flashing light. The call button comes with a strap that you can attach it to so that the person who needs to call you can wear it around their neck. Overall, it's great when you need to "keep your eyes open" for a sick person, child, or elderly loved one. My concern is that this doesn't have a backup battery. So if the power goes out, it won't work.
