The headphones are some of the most comfortable I've had, the mic is muted when in use (although the red mute light does NOT come on, I checked Discord, it wasn't picking up voices) and technically it worked when I got it plugged in. That being said, I had a nightmare when I realized that once the blue light on the USB flashed, I had to press the button. Pretty stupid that the tech didn't have auto-detection built in, neither that nor a MUCH easier way to switch between PC/console. I was already hesitant to buy up to $300 because it had a base that was not just a charging pad but a necessary part of the setup. The headset is great for being a headset. The equalizer settings really work and the sound quality and base is almost the same as my streaming headphones. The game/voice buttons are mostly cosmetic, another way to lower and raise the overall volume. I tested it in different modes, and even during game launches, general audio cut off too. The microphone seems a bit sensitive. A lot of that could be mitigated if I had great software, but I've been very hard on software. It seems to determine if the headset is connected, but the rest is just an image. I swear all you can do is press the settings icon - and X. It says the firmware manual is being updated, but I can't believe it. The overall benefit of this headset is its convenience. The rest of the features are largely false. If you've had ALL THE OTHER HEADSETS on the market, be sure to buy them. However, I think this headset will cost around $40-$50 for that alone as it offers literally nothing else. Try anything else that says it's comfortable first. I hope this genuine review finds those who need it!
