This travel sewing kit has everything I could possibly need and at this price point it's a lot cheaper than each of the components individually to buy. The spools do not contain enough thread length to complete large projects, but there are some color spools that are more commonly used (e.g. black). The thread itself isn't very strong, but I've had no trouble mending pants or trimming thick curtains with it. My main criticism of this product is the pens and the wheel to attach the stylus. He just doesn't hold the cleats well. Even before the pins were used, they fell out of the holder. I know, that there isn't enough room for a pincushion in the travel kit, but it just isn't there in this bike. Doesn't work for me. Now that I've used the pins a few times (they bend relatively easily), I'm having even more trouble keeping them in place. My second complaint is that the case doesn't lay flat when opened. It doesn't bother me that much and I wouldn't deduct a star for that, but I'd rather have it lay flat. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. I've used almost everything but a hook and pencil on two projects I've done since purchasing this set and everything has worked as expected except for the pencil holder.
