Both a good and a bad idea.

We decided to purchase after my kids saw an animal behavior show and wanted to know if our cat could learn to talk with buttons. Thinking it was a great educational experience we went for it. You know we are owned by a cat so it could have been different but after a few weeks he figured out the button. We put "Clean Me" on him and now he clicks it whenever he wants to be cleaned. We all love it, especially my kids, but we know that if he wants another person to comb him, he will insist until he gets the right one. Not to mention that after the fifth time I seriously regret giving it a voice, but overall it's funny. The buttons themselves are really easy to use and not bulky, which is nice for a cat or dog. We haven't introduced a second button or added more tiles yet, but I like that the tiles have some gaps between them so you can add or distribute more buttons. The only thing I would like to fault is the label stickers that come with the kit. They have things that are closely related to dogs and not customizable at all. I wish they were blank so we could write whatever we wanted instead of sticking pre-printed images on them, so we don't use the labels that come with them.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance
