Review on Dexter Russell 012 5SK 5 Inch Skinning Knife by Sara Davis

This is a replacement for a different style of old hickory handle knives. Fit and finish exceeded all expectations. The steel quality is very good. The blade has been evenly polished, ground and honed with pride and care. The grips were ground very well, although one side was slightly thicker. The landing was flawless. There are no ridges or indentations on the pins on the handles (plates), they are almost so smooth that you can hardly feel them when you run your finger over the handles. Edge retention is very good so far. For those who seek craftsmanship and pride in their work while still maintaining a decent price point, this is my new option in the kitchen and in my backpack for off the beaten track cooking. I look forward to having more Dexter knives in my block. Excellent goods
