Got two of these for my new car along with a matching hammock to keep my Sheltie from scratching the back seat doors and keeping my seats clean. I decided to only use the tabs that match the window, no velcro, because I wasn't sure about sticking velcro to my new door panel. However, this was not effective. I keep having to push the tabs out of the window again because they keep slipping out. I think this is the best scenario if you want to secure your doors, but it's by no means a permanent or functional solution unless you want to take the plunge and attach velcro to the door. I'm still deciding what's best for me.
