Review on Chevrolet Cruze (2009-2012) Car CAN OBDII Auto Window Closer Controller - Unable to Use on 2012 Cruze LT by Michael Morgan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

does what it says opens and closes windows remotely! *EDIT*

This little module adds functionality that should be there. Pros: > It works. (but note the "con" below) > Installation couldn't be much simpler. Just plug in the OBDII connector. > You would never know it was an add-on. > The seller was cool enough to email me an update tracking. It's nice to have a personal touch when you order something. Cons: > Directions are in Chinese. but how hard was it to understand? Well.> It doesn't seem to work like the Revain description says it does. This involves pressing the lock and unlock buttons three times in a row, I've never done that. If you press and hold the "UNLOCK" button on the remote control for about 3 seconds, the windows will go down. If you press and hold the "LOCK" button on the remote control for about 3 seconds, the windows will be minimized. At least with my 11er Cruze Eco. sooo it works, just not as it is written. It actually makes more sense to be honest. Less wear and tear on door locks.> I'm a bit wary of plugging *any* device into my car's "Central Nervous System" but no problem so far. >Delivery must have been by kayak from China, took a long time here. To be fair this was clearly stated on the delivery notes so don't deduct a star for that. So far, the window remote control costs 20 dollars. I don't think you will be disappointed with it. *EDIT* Had to take it out. It works fine but automatically rolls up windows after about 5 minutes. It's not good if I leave the windows slightly open to cool off and go outside and they're open again. i thought i was going crazy but I ended up sitting on the porch looking at my car with the windows almost half down. Of course they walked about 5 minutes or more. So keep this small caveat in mind.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Not bad
