Not for a 3 year old
I bought this kit for a 3 year old babysitter and when I opened it the instructions were quite detailed and the 3 year old couldn't read them. The screws were small, definitely a choking hazard. At 3 years old he's pretty good at not putting things in his mouth but still has a whiff of curiosity. I thought this would be a cool dinosaur build for developing fine motor skills. I had trouble connecting them. I do not recommend for children.
