Review on ☕ Mixpresso Red Stainless Steel Coffee Container with Date Tracking, Vacuum Sealed Airtight Canister, 16 Oz Coffee Vault for All Types of Ground Coffee by Alicia Smith

This canister holds the contents of a 1 pound coffee bar plus a little more. It is easy to fill, even if there is still some coffee left from the previous filling. The lid closes with a ribbed wire clasp and clasp. This closure can be operated with one hand. This means you can open the container with one hand, scoop the coffee with the other and quickly close the lid with your free hand to better keep your coffee fresh. I didn't understand it from the description and reviews but it turned out to be a very nice feature. It takes less than 10 seconds to open, scoop and close at a normal pace with a little practice. The date entry feature is easy to use and seems to work well. The gasket is a rubber, vinyl, or similar material gasket with a tab that fits into a groove in the lid body. I found it seals very well. I only smell coffee when I open the can or right after, and that feels right to me. The seal can be easily removed. From what I can see I believe this gasket can be replaced, repaired and cleaned. I haven't done it myself, so I can't say for sure. A replaceable seal should greatly increase the life of this canister. It is a wearing part and a part that will most likely fail with normal use. I am posting some photos of the seal. If anyone has a part number for the seal, please include it in a comment or picture! I notice that several reviews have criticized the freshness seal. My guess is that some of these sealing issues could be due to the seal not being properly adjusted at the factory or after a bit of use. The discrepancy can easily be corrected by gently pressing the lip of the gasket into the groove in the lid body. Visually detecting a mismatch can be difficult as the underside of the cover and gasket are black. A careful inspection should reveal a problem if it is related to the gasket installation. I bought this can for myself and I do not receive any compensation for this review. I like the canister, I am satisfied with the purchase. I think it's a well thought out design with the right materials at a good price. I think I gave $16 for it. If the seal, cap or canister fails next year I will update this review.
