I usually buy a freshly cut Douglas fir every year, but this year I got a little nostalgic and decided to stick with the silver tree. This tree consists of several branches attached to metal poles. Twigs are difficult to decompose without breaking the whole. The base is wobbly, I'm afraid to put glass bulbs on the tree for fear the tree will fall over and I'll lose a very expensive unique decoration. Since I've had to rebuild a lot and Christmas is fast approaching, I'll save it and try to get it working, but once the holidays are over it'll go in the trash. Oh, by the way, that's far from 6 feet. I'm 5ft 2" tall and the tree is only 3" (on a stand) taller than me.
