This tape is for indoor use only. TESA Tape is a soft, fluffy, non-woven seat belt wrapping tape that resists chafing and operates quietly without squeaking. This is not Tesa High Temp Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Tape. I used this tape to repair a 1992 VW Jetta internal wiring harness. The original suspension was wrapped in foam, which deteriorated over time and fell apart when moved or touched. I removed any loose foam insulation sheeting and re-wrapped the entire dashboard wiring harness. The tape was very easy to use, looks and feels great and the roll seems to cover most of the tourniquet. It is much easier to handle and use than vinyl tapes. I look forward to using it in other restoration work on my other vehicles. I also just bought High Heat Tesa Tape for the engine bay and underbody wiring harnesses. I am very satisfied with the quality of TESA products. Especially for German or European vehicles, Tesa Harness Tape looks like a factory or dealer repair. It does not stand out like products made of vinyl or corrugated cardboard.
