Review on 💋 DocoShield Cold Sore Prevention Lip Balm with Docosanol and Lysine - 3 Pack by Joe Patterson

This is NOT an FDA approved product (and yes it says so on the packaging). Just in case I wanted to try it and see if it might just work - no, it didn't. The product stung more than the original FDA standard product (ie, just regular Abreva) - causing redness, itching, and may have contributed to the condition. I do not endorse this product. I'm sure others might find this product really helpful - well that's great and I'm happy for you. I don't think taking docosanol all the time is a good idea - it's like taking antibiotics all the time and that will only cause the virus to mutate and become resistant to docosanol. (If you're not the type who breaks out every other week, you may need to use this remedy all the time.) For other people who don't break out often, it's probably best to stay away. Thanks very much!
