When I couldn't find a sturdy ladder of the right size

My 50 lb dog's short legs always made it difficult to jump in and out of the car, and now that he's older , with a bloated stomach Due to Cushing's disease, he can no longer make it on his own. When I couldn't find a solid ladder of the right size, I looked for ramps and settled on these based on positive reviews and a video posted by another reviewer. I used the roast beef as a stimulating treat and walked him around and up the ramp while lying on the floor before heading to the car and it worked like magic! Spend an extra 5 minutes finding the right intro if your dog is as scared as I am; that is the difference. He loves the ramp so much he even lies on it in the back of the car! The ramp is not easy but doable; it is strong and does not bounce. The surface provides traction even in wet weather. I am very glad I bought this ramp!
