This set of gloves (not mittens) and balaclava would be so much better if they didn't smell like perfume. I washed and aired them and the smell went away just a little. Pooh. The gloves are fine for moderate temperatures but I would freeze in them if the temperature dropped below 30. So if you're somewhere with cold winters, they probably won't work for you. The balaclava is much thicker and warmer. For me, that keeps me warm up to about 10 degrees; Below that I need a second layer over my head. A balaclava should fit everyone, but I think if you have a big head or a lot of thick hair it can get tight (albeit stretchy).
