I brought this to take a few things with me when I walk my dog. I like to carry around a small stun gun, keys, cell phone, pepper spray and ID. This backpack has enough space for all of that, and there is still space. It's lightweight and fits well around my waist. Everything is ready to hand and I hold the leash with the other hand. I would also use it when going for a short walk or hike. It's not big enough to carry a water bottle but fits everything I need like a cell phone, keys, wallet, maybe a bag of formula. Also, it looks nice and doesn't look so silly. (bulky) like some of the larger "belt bags" I've tried. Overall it's good value for the specific use. It won't replace a handbag or backpack, but it's great for carrying a lot of stuff without the added bulk of a large backpack on a short trip.
