I damaged the ethernet port on my laptop and this is the perfect solution. I had it for about a week and it was plug and play. I love the extra USB-A ports and my smart card reader plugs into one of them and works with no issues. I have 1Gbps fiber and got close to it in speed tests, around 940Mbps when I tested it recently. In my search I was looking for a Tripp Lite product and was glad that this product was reasonably priced.
