I'm using a 13.3" MacBook Air (the standard screen size for all MacBook Airs for the last 5 years) in a 13" case. "LOOK" You've seen what a leather-bound book or magazine looks like, right? Here's what it looks like when it's closed.FUNCTIONALITYBut what if you unzip and open it? Others have found that the elastic straps can detach from the laptop lid when the laptop screen is open more than 90 degrees, but I have found that when my laptop is extended as far as the laptop hinge allows, the straps still detach stay in place, barely, but they're still enough to hold the edges of the screen under the elastic straps. Does the zipper rub against the case? I unpacked it again, but upon opening it when it reaches 90 degrees there is a slight tension between the plastic of the zipper and the back corners of the Mac. Maybe over time the plastic zipper will scratch the aluminum case, but until then (maybe in 5 years?) it's still time to replace the Mac. DURABILITY Since I just opened it, I'll leave this field blank. for now.
