Excellent Washi for the Price

For anyone who loves journals, planners and stationery. Here look at you. This set of 100 washi (100A) is fantastic for the price. You get multiple sizes in a variety of colors, which is a great start to trying your hand at tape without breaking the bank. With this package you're looking at around $0.23 per reel, which is a STEAL as most cost $1.50 or more for a standard size reel. However, this has its advantages and disadvantages. Scroll down to see the full list of pros and cons in minimal detail. Otherwise? That's all! Some basic notes: 1) Vasya arrived in a standard Amazon pre-packaged box. The box itself is a fairly thin box with a ribbon in a clear plastic lid. This lid slides in and out of its open sides but is held in place with standard stickers on arrival. There is nothing special here! Pretty direct and to the point. 2) Due to the cheap quality of the packaging, I would recommend getting a plastic washi storage container. Maybe throw in some small dowel rods. This makes it easier to use and access. 3) THESE ARE NOT FULL SIZE WASHI ROLLS. I don't think I need to add that as it says right in the description. but we all know people who are silent. Most of these reels have 2mm (about 6.5 feet) bands compared to the usual 10mm (about 33 feet). THESE ARE SIZE REFERENCES.4) No, small buns are not badly cut buns. They're just smaller. ADVANTAGES: 1) Vasya is cheap. You can't beat the cost. To be honest, this is definitely a situation where I'd recommend you buy a larger cache rather than smaller options simply because you're getting more bang for your buck. 2) The packaging is simple but effective. If you don't take out your cache all the time, you immediately have a great storage option. 3) A huge variety of colors with MANY alternatives in one package. This makes a great gift for anyone who wants to try washi without spending hundreds of dollars on a cute collection. 4) An X-Acto knife (or even scissors!) will cut those ribbons like butter! However, this is also a lack of quality. (See cons below.) 5) This tape doesn't leave a sticky residue like others and is easy to remove. Washi tape is NOT suitable as normal adhesive tape. It will NOT store things on your fridge, walls or anything (unless you stack it). But for those who use it for its intended purpose. it makes projects MUCH easier. CONS: 1) SUPER THIN PAPER. Washi is a type of self-adhesive paper for convenience. However, I don't think I've ever seen THAT thin washi. That's why it's so easy to cut in the first place. However, darker backgrounds will show through. The strap is nice but thin. If you're one of those people who don't want to be seen, many will try another company. 2) There is simply no color return. If you prefer bold looks then this washi is not for you. While some are darker, most designs are softer and almost pastel in color. It gives a nice look to the paper but if you're looking for something to pop out. you can try elsewhere. *** ALL TOGETHER *** PRO: 1) SUPER cheap. 2) LARGE variety of colors. 3) A AWESOME starting offer for those who don't want to rob the bank. CONS: 1) SUPER clean - see through a lot. 2) Pale / unsaturated colors. GENERAL AGREEMENT: I would 100% recommend this to a friend. Especially if they're new to planning and don't already have a washi collection. If you are a vintage car that has extra washi. could pass for slightly higher quality. But for the price? Definitely worth it.
