I bought this product mainly for slicing cucumbers. He couldn't even handle those soft vegetables! It is cut unevenly, turning many pieces into mush. Some of the pieces ended up in the bottom bowl while the tuft stayed on top of the slicer, making it very messy and difficult to continue slicing. I returned this product after one use and would not recommend it. I bought this other mandolin after this product was rejected. I recommend spending a few euros more for a quality product.
