When I replaced the Intel i7 6700k with an AMD R7 2700 (overclocked to 4.5 GHz), I was pleasantly delighted. The games' FPS did not increase, but the friezes, starters, and imputlags vanished. Nearly all the way. There is no longer "ragged" FPS when going from 200 to 60. Things appear to be running more smoothly. You must not twitch. Furthermore, such heating is no longer available. Under dropsy, the last 10% got up to 85 degrees. Games average around 70 points. This processor, which was placed under two sections of dropsy, never got beyond 50 degrees no matter how hard I tried. (On average, 45 degrees) merely heated above 40 degrees (in games). Though just 65w is specified, this processor can actually operate at 75w. The cooling system, however, enables a LOT more. The critical query! Am I sorry that I made the change? NO! This CPU is far more potent. I should have spent more on a better motherboard for overclocking, and I regret not doing so now. However, there are now ZERO known performance issues! The reserve of energy is enormous. Would you bump me up to 870k if you didn't pay me more? NO! Last one really sums it up, in my opinion. CINEBENCH R15 6700k overclocked to 4500mhz achieved 965 points, as shown in the image below. It's becoming more and more STOCK! View the image!
