Review on 🚗 iCarsoft POR-II Porsche OBD-II Scanner Tool: Advanced Multi-systems ABS SRS Diagnostic Solution by Jack Duncan

I was so excited when I received my iCarsoft POR-II Scanner. I bring most of the work to the dealership in my Porsche 911 (991), but do a lot of the minor maintenance stuff myself. I wanted to reset the interservice message as to what the POR-II is supposed to do, but after hooking it up to my machine, it worked out that the firmware on the instrument was really old and did not have the ability to reset the interim message. service message. No problem, the POR-II is updatable, so I went online and tried to find a "serial product update tool". After a few broken links I found the software. Following the manual I couldn't get past the home screen asking for the serial number, the refresh button didn't do anything. I went online to investigate the issues, some users suggested inserting a TF card before launching the app, which would allow the tool to download my serial number automatically, but pressing the "Send/Update" button again did absolutely nothing. I'm sure it's a great update tool, but the model/version I have doesn't work and I can't find a way to update the scanner. Even resetting the oil reminder seems to behave differently as the user has to do some manual steps e.g. B. fiddling with the reset button of the odometer (see photos).
