Filters have shrunk causing the tabs to tighten into a permanent position that is too close to the filter housing to effectively snag the refrigerator body and the Filter falls out. I actually opened up the plastic cases and swapped out the internal charcoal filters to continue using the original case that came with the fridge. The only other thing I can think of is to put something like a small folded piece of matchbox or a business card or whatever in there to push the tabs out a bit so they stick to the case. Just don't pull them too far or the plastic will break and you won't have a tongue at all.
