Great product! It was a direct connection. It definitely helps if you do this during an oil change as it sits above the oil filter. It would probably be possible to remove/install a new one with a deep socket, but I didn't have one. I was able to torque it off and on with a 1-1/16 wrench. The new block comes with the thread lock already on the threads. FINALLY my oil pressure sensor is working again!
