I needed these brackets to fit ProTaper 1.125" Evo bars to my 2018 Vstrom 1000. Factory brackets are for 7/8" bars. Boot You have 2 simple options: Buy OEM Vstrom XT mounts (expensive) or buy 1.125" ProTaper mounts and adapt them to the bike. You will need to reuse the existing bolts that attach the brackets to the upper tie rod. The ProTaper screws are too thick to slip through. Ride off-road and off-road with this setup and so far so good.
