Well the only negative dock was for iPhone 4s and back which was normal until the woman killed the phone and upgraded to five. So I had to install an adapter and it works fine. As far as the device is concerned, I compared many devices in parallel. I make music and am a moderate music lover. I try to get the best sound for the money I invest. This little guy makes a big, clear, crisp sound. This is for my wife to use in her studio. She likes it and I like it. It gets loud when you need to fill a space and still deliver a product. Good meaty bass and good highs. You don't really get much stereo separation due to the proximity of the speakers, but for this type of device, I don't think that's a huge issue for users. If that's the case, then opt for separate speakers that can be pushed far apart. I do not regret buying this device.
