The cable is less reliable than you think. Buyer Warning.

I was so excited about this thing and it worked really well at first. The cable stopped working after a few weeks. The brick still worked, but the cable stopped working and it wasn't damaged anyway. I sent it back and received a regular Apple Brick. It wasn't worth it to me.
