I have a couple of the legendary Denon AH-D2000 (currently cost over $250 as they are no longer made) so my reference point is high and it would I find it quite difficult to give any headphone a 5-star rating. Still, I enjoyed listening to these headphones as they gave me a different perspective on familiar recordings. Compared to the D2000 I heard more bass overall, more expressive bass although not as deep. The mids were also more present, resulting in fuller vocals and more snare on the drums. The high mids and highs were less pronounced, making the MG900's sound less detailed and crisp, but not boring. Overall these headphones sounded good, more balanced than I was used to from the D2000. I'm glad I have a pair and would definitely recommend them.
