Our dog Zephyr is a great swimmer. He can easily swim miles at a time for 4 or 5 hours. Sometimes we have to let him rest. In the last year or so he developed arthritis in his hind leg. We thought we would put a swim jacket on him hoping he wouldn't have to work so hard and we could hold him for a bit so he could rest. Firstly he is so cute and secondly he was much happier. His back was in the water for so long and he was moving so fast. I wish I had received it sooner. By the way, he weighs about 80 pounds and we are size XL. It fits perfectly, we tried it on our other dog. She's heavier than Zephyr, probably at least 15 pounds, it didn't fit her.
