The first lamp in the batch I tested had a broken filament and was therefore unusable. The second lamp passed the test well, but the inside of the glass was cloudy, meaning there was something inside that shouldn't be there. The other 8 tested ok and were clean so for the price I think if they last a while its still a good deal. I just got one up and running. Let's see how long this lasts. It's been two and a half months now and the first lightbulb I used died last week. The next one I used blew out yesterday after about a week of very light use. It was probably a dim bulb because now it's completely black inside. So if each of the 8 "good" lightbulbs lasts 3 months, that means that in 2 years all 8 will be dead. A decent branded halogen bulb of this type should last 2+ years and shouldn't cost more than $5, so these bulbs aren't a bargain unless the remaining bulbs last 3+ months each. Don't use them in hard-to-reach places. Luckily I put them in a floor lamp so changing the bulbs is easy.
