Wow what a difference, way better than a filter. They're a lot heavier, I use them mainly to knock the iron out of the water, usually with a filter I get in about a week and a half, maybe a load of laundry. This gets me about 3 loads of laundry, lots of showers and conditioners. In the latter, they are about $1 more better than Filtrete in a two-pack. Didn't know what I was missing, bought them one day because Revain ran out of filters, now I'm sold
