Review on πŸ“€ Sony VRDMC6 DVDirect Compact Size DVD Burner: AVCHD Recording (Discontinued) by Robert Aan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very convenient; Compact size; easy DVD creation

I'm completely satisfied with DVDirect. I bought it for a 16 day vacation in Europe to be able to back up my videos and photos. An added bonus was that when I got home my video was already on DVD and ready to play. :) The DVDirect is lightweight and compact, so it fits nicely in my suitcase. After reading how to connect my camcorder to DVDirect (which is easy), the device explained to me the remaining steps, which are few and simple. For video, this worked great for my purposes as my camcorder has 80GB of storage, but I wanted to back up recordings each day in case my camera is stolen or dropped. (We all know someone who has lost many or all of their videos or vacation photos due to one of these reasons.) DVDirect can only burn NEW data that has not been previously burned to DVD. So every day I was capturing "step by step" from my camera to the DVDirect so only new video was added. If the drive wasn't full, I wouldn't "lock" it (which is what you get at the prompt when you click the "Eject" button) so I could add an additional video to the same drive the next day . . Because DVDirect tells you how many discs you need after you select "full" or "incremental" video transfer, it's easy to know how many discs you need to complete a task. Burning photos to DVD is just as easy. Simply insert your memory card into the appropriate DVDirect slot and follow the instructions. I can't imagine a more comfortable and convenient car if it wasn't a wireless car. :)
