I have had many Oral-b brushes. It's time to replace the latter in view of its wear. I decided to try Philips Sonicare, but I didn't really like it because of the very strong vibration for me, Oral-b is softer in this regard. At this moment, the IO series was released, the manufacturer is betting on a new principle of operation of a magnetically driven brush. I thought that anyway, sooner or later, the rest of their brushes will also work on it one way or another and I need to try what it is.
According to personal feelings from cleaning, it is softer than the previous series on the classic drive, much less noisy, but much faster, in intense mode it feels like a hygienist at a reception in the office. I tried all the modes, you can choose a mode for any sensitivity of the teeth. I liked the whitening mode, it copes with its function quite well. Separately, it must be said about the brush heads, there are only 2 of them so far, but they differ from the classic ones for the better, they have a less invasive effect on the enamel.

Bottom line: if you don’t feel sorry for the money, then an excellent brush, with sufficient functionality to cope with its function, if you feel sorry for the money and want something from the IO series, then you can safely buy IO 7 (there is no color display and some cleaning modes)

Pros

Brush heads have changed for the better and become less invasive for enamel 4. Body and assembly made of plastic (all my brushes before this "died" due to the fact that the rubberized part simply exfoliated and rotted) 5. Magnetic charging instead of induction, if earlier you charged the brush from 0% to 100% for an unthinkably long time, now it takes only 3 hours to fully charge, it lasts for 2 weeks stably if you brush your teeth for 2.5 minutes 2 times a day 6. Through the application, you can choose the color of the indicator ring (for example, if you have 2 identical brushes), change the duration of the brushing timer by adding / subtracting time, see how long the nozzle has worked and set a reminder to replace it, choose which brushing modes you need and their switching sequence and mode, which will be on by default, see statistics on how you brush your teeth, etc.

Cons

1. rubberized buttons for switching on and changing modes, they will fail first in this brush 2. If you brush your teeth with an open application and a hint, then during the brushing process you cannot change the brushing mode through the phone, you need to do this through the button on the brush, this is very inconvenient, because when the brush is in your mouth you can’t see what’s on the display, and you have to sequentially click through all modes to the desired one, and if you clean without bodies, then when you press the off button, a notification appears about the cleaning time and battery charge, you have to wait until it all turns off and turn on the brush again and select the desired mode, because if you take out a working brush with mouth paste to see what mode is there and try to switch it, the cleanliness of your bath will come to an end, you will be covered in paste. 3. The correct operation of the application when brushing, often, if you focus on what it shows there and how it determines what you are brushing, then you can brush your teeth for more than 3 minutes and say goodbye to enamel. 4. Programs for dental care, it would be nice if they could switch modes during brushing when the program is activated automatically. 5. PRICE! at the start of sales it’s already 20k, the real price of this brush is well 10 max, over time I think it will come to this, so if you are limited in money, you should pay attention to IO 7 or the old series, you won’t lose anything. 6. Completeness of delivery. for such an amount, they could be generous and add at least one more nozzle for cleaning. 7. In fact, the brush becomes just a controller that you can program to do what you want, in this regard, I hope the application will be finalized so that it is comfortable to use.
