It was quite difficult to remove the stock plastic trim from the tailgate handle. I followed the instructions but the clips at the top broke. However, I reattached it with the Pop&Lock installed and it stays in place. The lock worked fine for about 3 months then stopped working. I can't remove it because it holds the plastic trunk handle in place (broken clips above). But it doesn't matter if the lock is locked or not - just pull the tailgate handle and it opens. So I changed my rating from 4 to 1 star. Would give zero stars if possible: Worse than just wasting money on the product because I broke these clips while installing the POS product.
