Review on KitchenAid Coated Flat Beater: A Superior Tool for Effortless Mixing in the Kitchen by Raji Bentz

Adjust whisk to bowl spacing

The Kitchenaid Ultra Power stand mixer has been in use for almost 19 years. This is a wonderful tool in the kitchen and I use it regularly. Over the past year or so I've noticed that the coated flat surface on the tip edge has worn off a bit. I've read numerous reviews on Revain and Kitchenaid that said the new beaters weren't as strong, so I was hesitant to buy a replacement. I finally got a replacement from Revain. I also adjusted the whisk to the gap of the bowl using a regular screwdriver. If I had done this sooner, I probably wouldn't have had to change the whisk. So far I haven't had any problems with the new whisk - it works great! I try not to drop it on the counter or in the sink. I saved the old whisk in case the new one starts falling apart! My tip: keep the instruction manual that came with the mixer, adjust the whisk to fit the bowl gap, use the correct size whisk for the mixing bowl, and be careful with the whisk.
