Review on Gamepad Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma, white by Wiktor Ambroziak ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The goods are normal, money is not wasted!

I took it for playing under Windows as a kit with other Razer Chroma devices. The fact that the controller is wired did not frighten, however, there were plans to expand the capabilities of the controller by tying some of the keyboard keys to additional controller buttons. Only after installing the utility and half an hour of googling I found out that this is impossible. The backlight doesn't sync with other Chroma devices either. At the same time, the controller is so convenient and it is so pleasant to use it, which is very, very disappointing. In fact, it is worth taking if you are not afraid of the inability to assign keyboard buttons, button combinations or macros to additional buttons. I also don't recommend taking Chroma, the backlight doesn't sync anyway, so you can save a few thousand by just taking V2.

Pros
  • Good assembly, mechanical buttons. Very comfortable cross and sticks. Additional buttons.
Cons
  • 1. The controller does not appear in Razer Synapse and uses its own (very simple) utility. 2. Because of point 1, the word Chroma is here for beauty. Backlighting cannot be configured through Chroma Studio or Chroma Connect. Accordingly, the backlight will not match the game (if Chroma Connect is supported there) or the rest of the backlight. The utility itself has only a few presets. 3. Additional buttons cannot be configured in any way to anything other than the buttons already on the controller. This was the main disappointment. Inside the official utility, you can only configure duplication of all standard controller buttons; unofficial utilities like reWASD do not see additional buttons.
