When I saw this I wanted this for our 18 inch dolls. This is the perfect scale for her. I'm an artist and this was an opportunity for our dolls to paint their own little picture. The table is well made, good quality. Nice smooth real hard wood and it's great. I see so many things for 18 inch dolls these days that the plastic masquerades as wood and it's nice to see things made out of wood. The table comes assembled, but the easel requires assembly - it took me about 5 seconds to put the three pieces together to make the easel. There are no instructions and they are not needed. The set is decorated in pleasant colors, the whole structure is made of wood (table, easel, paint palette, paint cup, water glass, brush). The "canvas" is made of fiberboard and there are 4 sheets of paper (if they run out I bet you can figure out how to make more - it's plain white paper). This set will be of interest to any aspiring artist or puppet maker. The set is packaged in a beautiful box and you can't see the contents until you open the box. It is hypoallergenic and non-toxic and meets US, Canadian and European testing standards. It is made in China.
