I received this for breast milk and it freezes milk well but the silicone smells so strong I am concerned it might change the smell/taste of milk the baby. Babies have a pretty sensitive sense of smell, so I'm worried about changing the milk. Some milk will crystallize at the top of the container, but I think most of it stays. Each tube weighs one ounce. When thawing (test run done), the milk thaws a little faster than frozen packaged milk. However, I was hoping that I could stick the stick in the bottle and the bottle warmer would melt it. The bottle warmer was not suitable for this. All in all I would do without it. I'm using milk packs again and feeling better. Although I would use them for ice for myself in bottled water. - 2 stars for the smell. . It worked great for baby food and had lost its plastic smell by then!
