All in all, this is a great set to start or add to your stamp collection. The pads are very moist, the colors are bright. As a test I used another stamp that I already have to see if you can get an ombre effect with ink and you can. Light colors (like yellow) were a bit difficult to see on light paper, but they make a wonderful effect when used to emphasize a complementary or related color. The stamps are just over 1" tall and have a stamped wooden handle. the design is printed on the top. The wooden base feels good in the hand and the sponge/rubber is well attached. I have found that the length of the stamp from the base is sufficient to ensure that despite ink getting onto the base, no unwanted ink smudges are left behind when the stamp is used. The design of the stamp reminds me of an old typeface and gives me a vintage vibe that I love. All stamps fit nicely in a wooden box that separates numbers/symbols, uppercase and lowercase letters. I would recommend this stamp set; it is excellent value for money. This would make a fantastic gift or a great addition to your scrapbook or postcard collection.
