More than I expected

Honestly I didn't expect much from this fan but we often have power outages in our southern summer and it's very difficult to sleep when there is one no air movement. It was worth the risk. A much better quality product than I expected for the price and the 3 fan speeds range from very gentle and almost imperceptible air movement to high speed where you actually feel a pretty good breeze. For reference, it took overnight to put the first charge on it. The red light shows it's not fully charged yet, but in the morning the green light lets me know it's ready to go. At the same time, it worked fairly well over a USB connection. The switch on this thing is a little hard to find as it sits flush with the fan housing and is quite small. Don't try it in the dark for the first time. While this is a bit annoying, it makes sense because many of the other switches are easy to press, but this one isn't. The fan's weight is pretty decent too, and the build quality is better than I expected. It doesn't last long and I'm certainly not going to try to figure out how reliable it is, but it feels solid and very well balanced. Even at high speed, it does not tip over in any position. I don't know how long it will last on a single charge. So far this has happened to me for 8 hours with no issues at high speed. I assume lower speeds will result in longer run times, but 8 hours is enough for me. With the exception of the hurricane that destroyed our power grid, I've never had anything last longer than one night. Aside from that and my new CPAP backup battery, a power outage in the middle of the night doesn't mean I'm awake. ------ Update: I've had this for a few months now and I'm in the process of getting a new one. This one still works great but unfortunately it has become my wife's property due to her computer and sewing machine work. So I guess we'll have him and her.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
