Review on Night Owl Wireless Security WNVR201 44P B by Eric Pavelko

False alarms like crazy on sunny days.

Sunny days are the worst for these cameras. I get maybe 10-15 false positives a day because of shadows crawling across the camera's field of view. There's nothing more annoying than hearing your phone turn off, seeing the Night Owl app notification, only to see you've got a fake trigger. again and again. Although this is a plus. Programming the cameras on the DVR was easy. The radio range of the cameras is ok. If you place the camera 40ft away from the DVR, you MUST use a booster antenna. The playback functionality in the iPhone and iPad apps is also fine. Sometimes the image is completely blank and sometimes it jumps back and forth from 640 to 1080. The app also doesn't support streaming from AppleTV. So you only see it through the DVR or iPhone/iPad apps. They can definitely improve false alarm cameras and also improve their app so you can stream on AppleTv or at least make an AppleTv app. I would give this product at least 4.5 stars if it weren't for so many damn false positives.
