Review on Faber-Castell FC167137 Wallet Pitt Pen Nibs Art Set: A Versatile Assortment for Masterful Creations by Renee Hackbarth

It's all there in black and white.

I have used Copic drawing pens and before that Mikron and have been hesitant to switch back to them. I've only had one painting session with this pen set, but I LOVE the feel of these pens. At first I thought the ink was too gray for me, but when I painted with it I realized that I really like it. The ink flows smoothly and easily, and I love the variety of tips. Good choice! For wide lines I thought the B handle would be my idea but found I liked the SC handle better and even went through some of my B lines to change. The XS is good enough for my purposes, although Copic and Micron offer thinner tips than this. (This company can do that too, just not in this set?) I love that they include a brush with a narrower, shorter tip. Hooray! I will definitely use them. Using one of the larger tips (probably SC) I got a small stain when my hand ran over it too early, but I haven't had this problem with any of the other sizes. Or again with this pen as soon as I became more attentive. Another reviewer said they could fill the ink with a light watercolor so it doesn't run or bleed, but I don't know yet. I'll update this review once I've tried it and also if I find that the pens dry out quickly. If you like the freer feel of a marker, give it a try! Update January 2016: I've done some big projects with it (see photo for two) and still love it. The smallest tip, xs, is worn out. The felt part is damaged and I seem to have run out of ink. I feel like I've done a lot with it, but I'll test a few other brands and see if they perform differently. However, I am very happy with my results. Great pens!
