Review on Pink GoodBoy Head Halter For Dogs - Advanced Safety Strap To Stop Pulling - Padded Headcollar For Small, Medium, And Large Breeds - Includes Training Guide (Size 2) by Kenyatta Mack

Excellent for pulling

This head halter is THE ONLY gear I have purchased that really keeps my 75lb. pitbull from pulling. And believe me, we have tried everything. It has nice padding, which I love, because the gentle leader strap was rather thin and irritated his skin (yes, he’s also a 4 legged rash. ) Now, HE does not love it, but he is beginning to understand that it means walks. It is easy to put on once you get it all adjusted to fit. The clip is a royal pain- as others have pointed out, it likes to come unclipped, especially in those initial days where they may perform olympic medal worthy gymnastics trying to get it off. I do have to stop occasionally and reclip it. The only other downside is that people tend to think it is a muzzle because of how much more substantial it is than a halti or a gentle leader, but that assumption may also be helped by the fact that it’s on a pitbull. Pibble lovers are not deterred from stopping for some cuddles, though, so it’s all good.

Pros
  • Works well, but broke pretty easily. However, my dog was pulling and biting at it.
Cons
  • Could be seen as an unnecessary expense for some pet owners
