Review on πŸ› Moen DN7050 Home Care Bathtub Safety Glacier Tread Mat - Enhance Your Bathroom Safety with Glacier Textured Design by Jodi Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very good and inexpensive alternative to replacing or renovating a bathtub.

Before that I used a non slip mat that uses tanning cups to stick to the tub. It was very dirty due to dirt collecting between the carpet and the tub - real yucca. I had to keep cleaning it. There's no room for a sip of water with this Moen mat - the mat sticks really well to the tub. Application is a bit tricky but how I did it: 1) Clean and dry tub very well, no label here, I use toilet cleaner and a brush to get the stain out. Dry it well - it is very important that the mat sticks to the tub. 2) Before applying, place the mat in the tub and use a pencil to draw a line around the mat to position it in the desired position. 3) Then slowly start peeling off the mat. Stick the decal starting from the left corner (or right if you prefer) and slowly stick it onto the tub, slowly peeling off the backing. Make sure the pencil outlines are respected. It is important to press the mat very firmly so that no air is left behind. I used both my finger and a plastic paint scraper to slowly glue it to the tub. 4) Finally, since the tub is curved rather than flat, I had a problem getting it perfectly flat at the final stage of application. I didn't wait and partially pulled it out to level the mat. Try to avoid it. Luckily for me, the mat didn't lose its stickiness and still stuck to the tub. 5) Once everything was installed and ready I found that the application wasn't perfect as I noticed a few inches of bubbles around the mat. I used a safety pin to poke a tiny hole in the center of each bubble to force the air out. It's now bubble-free and looks professionally applied. saves me a lot of money
