Review on Amcrest AWC2198 1080P Webcam: Business Grade, Dual-Mic, 2021 Updated, Wide Angle Lens, Superior Low Light by Jeremy Hahn

The Amcrest ProStream 1080P Dual Mic Webcam is a great product for the price. After two weeks I am very satisfied with the AWC2198 webcam. The device worked flawlessly with Microsoft Windows 10. The system recognized and installed the necessary drivers when connected via USB. The 6 foot cable provides the length I need to connect and move the camera without moving my laptop. The mounting clamp is beautifully designed with a universal tripod mount. Once I placed the camera on my laptop, the mounting clip proved solid and held the device in place. The camera worked great and connected easily to WebEx, Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Everything is fine. The mics are phenomenal. Conference attendees commented on how loud and clear my voice was in the first week of using the Amcrest AWC2198 webcam. If wide-angle video isn't a problem, then it isn't. As with the audio, participants noted the wide-angle coverage of the camera. Some programs might allow you to make adjustments, but I couldn't find a way to limit the view. This is not a negative aspect, just something to keep in mind. I was able to match the wide angle to my office background as well as the transposed backgrounds in Zoom and Teams. Participants asked if I increased my connection speed because my video was faster. No changes were made other than using Amcrest AWC2198. The device supports H.254 compression, which seems to help with video clarity, sharpness, and realism. The camera was shipped with the order and I was able to use it right out of the box. Price and I would buy it again and recommend it.
